Extension Master Gardener VolunteersSM (EMGVs) are local gardeners who volunteer their time and expertise to support NC Cooperative Extension’s outreach programs. EMGV’s receive intensive training on a wide range of gardening topics and are prepared to answer your residential gardening questions with research-based, non-biased information from the land-grant university system.
Master Gardener VolunteersSM can be reached on-line, via phone, or at some local Farmer’s Markets.
Chatham County also has a staff of Extension agents prepared to answer your questions regarding sustainable farming, livestock and pasture production, 4-H youth development, and family and consumer sciences (nutrition, health, food safety and food preservation) They can be found on the NC Cooperative Extension Chatham County Center website:
